Susan Robison

Susan Robison had a desire to be a teacher ever since she was a little girl. Her path to attaining this dream was not direct, but the experience she gained empowered her to become an empathic, devoted, thoughtful, and assiduous teacher.

Upon graduating from the Elliot School of International Affairs at the George Washington University, Susan was an editor for a small family-owned publishing company in Washington, D.C.  After deciding not to pursue law school, she entered The Steinhardt School at New York University attaining a Masters of Education in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.  Susan had the great fortune of working with progressive, innovative teachers in NYC, accruing skills and wisdom she would apply to her own teaching.

Susan’s work developing curriculum for emergent readers led to mentoring. Susan arrived at Literacy How, Inc. in 2011, where she imparts her knowledge of literacy while providing professional support and substantive guidance to those she mentors. Susan is licensed in pre-K through 6 grade in Connecticut.
