Kristen Viesselman believes all students deserve an opportunity to learn to read.  She has been working with students with reading challenges for over 12 years.  She joined Literacy How Inc. in 2011, where she serves as an evaluator, consultant and teacher for students having difficulties in the area of reading.  Kristen offers comprehensive, thorough reading evaluations that are centered on the individual student and provide explicit recommendations for instruction.

Kristen earned her M.A. in Special Education from the University of Connecticut, is an Associate in the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators, and is an IDA-certified Structured Literacy Teacher (SLT).  Prior to working for Literacy How Inc., Kristen was a Regional Director for Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes in Darien, CT and a resource room teacher in Westport, CT.
